We are happy to announce some exciting new changes here at Silver Needle Press. As a press that values the role of artists and creators, we believe it is absolutely essential to prioritize the contributors that fill the pages of our journals. As of August 31, we will begin the transition to compensate ALL of our contributors.

Contests will now be held on a bi-monthly basis, and all contest winners will receive monetary compensation for their work. Contributors to the print journal will receive compensation beginning with the Spring 2019 edition. As we grow, it is our hope to fine tune our submissions process to be more accessible—meaning we are striving toward the day when we can eliminate submission fees altogether.

Writers and artists are undervalued in our society. Whether or not you choose to work with Silver Needle, we encourage you to support publications that place emphasis on treating creators with the respect they deserve.
